Time is moving along and this weekend marks the end of our Church liturgical year. Next weekend with the 1st Sunday of Advent we mark the beginning of the new year. Remember the color that we use during this season of preparation will be purple or violet. So if you want to join in with the new environment for Advent plan on wearing something purple to Mass next weekend. Advent is a four week preparation for you know what. Please talk to your children about this change of seasons. I’ll be writing more about it in the coming weeks.
Giving thanks is something that is so important to do. It is good that we as a nation will take pause this week and stop and give thanks for all the blessings we enjoy as a nation under God. I invite you to begin your day with a special mass of thanksgiving at 9:00am if you would please bring one item from your food table to be blessed, place it on the table near the altar. Please put your name on it so you can claim it after mass. It’s a small way to remind us all comes from our Lord. I hope that you have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day. I will go to be with my family after the mass. There will be a communion service on Friday.

                                 Yours in Christ, Fr. Rudy
